Frooti is one of the most popular mango drinks in India, loved for its refreshing taste and smooth texture. While it is widely available in packaged form, you can easily prepare a homemade version that is equally delicious and healthier. By adding a touch of yellow food colour, your drink gets the same vibrant appeal as the store-bought version. To get the desired colour, we recommend using pinch of yellow food colour from Anuja Food Colours, which is one of the leading food color companies in India. Here’s how you can make Frooti at home.
Ingredients:
• 2 medium ripe mangoes (peeled and chopped)
• 1 medium raw mango (peeled and chopped)
• 1 cup sugar (adjust as per taste)
• 3 cups water
• Pinch of yellow food colour from Anuja Food Colours, which is one of the leading food colors suppliers in Rajasthan
Instructions:
• Peel and chop both ripe and raw mangoes into small pieces.
• Using a combination of ripe and raw mango gives the drink its signature sweet and tangy flavour.
• In a pan, add chopped mangoes, sugar, and 1 cup water.
• Cook the mixture on medium heat until the mangoes become soft and the sugar dissolves completely.
• Allow the mixture to cool, then blend it into a smooth puree.
• Strain it through a fine sieve to remove any fibre.
• Add the remaining 2 cups of chilled water to the puree and mix well.
• Add pinch of yellow food colour from Anuja Food Colours to get the bright golden shade that makes Frooti so appealing.
• Mix thoroughly.
• Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
Serving Tips:
• Serve chilled in tall glasses with ice cubes for maximum refreshment.
• For a twist, add a pinch of black salt or roasted cumin powder.
• Store in an airtight bottle in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
