Ingredients:
• 2 medium-sized ripe mangoes (preferably Alphonso or Kesar)
• ½ small raw (green) mango
• 4 cups water
• ½ to ¾ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
• Pinch of yellow food colour from Anuja Food Colours, which is one of the best food colors manufacturers in Bihar
Instructions:
• Peel and chop both ripe and raw mangoes.
• Place them in a saucepan with 2 cups of water and pinch of yellow food color.
• Boil for 10–12 minutes or until the mangoes become soft.
• Once at room temperature, blend the boiled mangoes along with the water they were cooked in until smooth.
• Strain the blended mixture through a fine sieve to remove fibers and ensure a smooth texture.
• Pour the strained mango pulp into a jug. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and sugar. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
• Add Lemon Juice (Optional):
• If you like a slightly tangy edge, stir in lemon juice.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the drink for at least 1–2 hours. Serve cold, preferably over ice, for that true Frooti experience.
Tips:
• Adjust sugar depending on how sweet your mangoes are.
• You can skip the raw mango if you want a purely sweet flavor.
• Store in the fridge for up to 3–4 days in a sealed bottle or jug.
