Ingredients:
For the pink cake:
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk from Amul
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products
• 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
• Pinch of pink food colour from Anuja Food Colours
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder from Ajanta Food Products
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda from Ajanta Food Products
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
• Preheat your oven to 175°C.
• Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper for easy removal.
• In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder from Ajanta Food Products, baking soda from Ajanta Food Products, and salt.
• In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
• Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
• Stir in the vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products and almond extract (if using).
• Gradually add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
• Stir in pinch of pink food colour from Anuja Food Colours until you achieve your desired shade of pink.
• Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Smooth the tops. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
