The Australia, Immigration Department has recently released occupational ceilings for the General Skilled Programs on August 13, 2020 which means that no invites will be given to the candidates beyond that ceiling. This latest news clearly indicates that there would be a set limit on the number of EOI’s (Expression of Interest) or invites that can be issued to the candidates who’ve applied for the skilled Migration to Australia via the different programs.
Well, the main idea behind this significant step taken by the Australian Government is to ensure that the small occupations may not overshadow the skilled migration program of the Kangaroo Land. So, once any occupation reaches the ceiling cap, no invitations will be issued for any occupation until next year. These ceilings help the candidates to become aware about the occupations that’re in high-demand in the Kangaroo Land.
As per the occupations ceiling list released by the immigration Department, it is clear that Accounting is not an occupation that’s high in priority. This clearly states that it is not easy to get the Australian PR via GSM (General Skilled Migration) program.
It is no surprise that the ceilings have slightly increased for the occupation of engineers and nurses, whereas the ceilings for the IT professionals has been slightly reduced. So, it’s a good news for you if you’re thinking of choosing an occupation from the IT Vertical.
These ceilings are apply to the skilled work regional (Provisional) Visa subclass 491 – Family Sponsored Visa and not to the visa subclass 491 – State Nomination Visa Stream of the Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190.
