Guidelines on Using Cavi Wipes

Most wipes have a nonwoven substrate that should be disposed off in a trash can. Disposing off these wipes in the toilet can cause them to clog and block the pipes.

Cavi wipes have become one of the most popular disinfectant commodities especially during this pandemic period. With germs lurking around, one needs to carry around their Cavi wipes. These wipes are known to kill 99.9% of germs including viruses and bacteria. Cavi wipes are focused on the concept of disinfecting which they do to utmost perfection. They come in a uniquely designed pack that is both easy to open and carry. They are perfect for cleaning hard nonporous surfaces in the healthcare sector e.g. surgical centers laboratories, isolation centers among others. However, before using your Cavi disinfecting wipes it’s important to ensure that it’s more than safe to use on that particular mess. Below are a few guidelines on using Cavi disinfecting wipes.

• Do Not Use Them on Your Skin

This is because they contain bleach which will irritate your skin or worse. Their main purpose is to clean and disinfect hard surfaces like glass and some particular types of countertops. Moreover, they should not be used on pets’ fur as they may ingest the chemicals while licking their paws.

• Avoid Using Them on Your Spectacles

When used on your eyeglasses, the chemicals present in the wipes may get in direct contact with your eyes. This may cause an eye irritation that could land you a trip to your optician.

• Check the Moisture Content

When the wipes are left in the open, they dry. Which makes them lose their disinfecting property. This is because the moisture in the wipes contains a disinfectant. Fortunately, there is an easy solution to this situation. It’s advisable to add isopropyl alcohol to the package and close tightly to allow the wipes to absorb the alcohol.

• Don’t Use Them on Leather

Using Cavi wipes on leather may make the leather brittle causing it to wear out. This is because the alcohol contained in them drains out the natural oils.

• Dispose Of the Wipes Properly

Most wipes have a nonwoven substrate that should be disposed off in a trash can. Disposing off these wipes in the toilet can cause them to clog and block the pipes. This is why it’s advisable to dispose of them in a trash can where they will be disposed of appropriately.

• Avoid Cleaning Stains on Clothes

You may be tempted to use Cavi wipes on your stained shirt, unlike normal bleach these wipes may end up causing more damage than good. Moreover, you risk the chances of skin irritation by getting in contact with the wipes.

• Avoid Using Them on Multiple Surfaces

Unfortunately, many of us are a victim of this particular don’t. It applies when you are using one wipe for multiple surfaces. This is not advised as one may end up spreading more germs. Instead use just enough of the product to keep the surface wet for four minutes thereafter you can rinse with water.

• Always remove heavy grease from surfaces

Since the wipes can’t absorb particles, it would be wiser to remove them using a microfiber cloth and warm water. The microfiber cloth will help absorb and remove all the particles on the surface. Afterward, you can proceed using your wipes.
