(April 29, 2021): Amario's Art Academy is partnering with StoryCorps to bring a unique brand of storytelling experience as a benefit to its students. Selected Academy students will interview each other about their experiences during the pandemic and create original artwork based on the interviews. Upon completion, the interviews will be archived at the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institute, accessible to all for generations to come!
This new project is a perfect combination of both organizational missions; the Art Academy mission is to promote literacy and art through creativity and mentorship, while the mission of StoryCorps is to preserve and share humanity's stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.
