This five-book collection blends charm and life lessons, making it an enriching addition to any reader's library.
Each book in the Lucinda Stories series follows Lucinda, a spirited and adventurous young girl who turns every challenge into an exciting journey. With her boundless imagination and mental strength, Lucinda inspires readers to see challenges, big or small, as opportunities for growth and fun.
The series includes five books, each narrating a different story from Lucinda's magical world.
Book 1: Lucinda Goes to Outer Mongolia is a thrilling journey guided by the warm-hearted Tulga. She sets up a traditional ger, tastes airag (fermented mare's milk), and marvels at the Naadam Festival's horse races, wrestling, and archery. She leaves with a treasured morin khuur and a new dream to ride, discover, and inspire.
Book 2: Lucinda's Tea Party. Join Lucinda as she hosts a whimsical tea party in the forest, filled with laughter, charm, and heartwarming moments.
Book 3: Lucinda Learns to Swim tells the story of Lucinda's day at the beach and how her experiences compel her to face her fears and find joy in new challenges.
Book 4: Arizona's Bowed Tendon tells a tender story of friendship and healing. When Arizona, a spirited horse, is confined to "stall rest" while his friends frolic outside, young Lucinda steps in to help and care.
Book 5: Lucinda Goes on Safari brings an African adventure where she meets snakes, befriends a rhino, and encounters an indigenous community, celebrating wildlife, patience, and cultural connections.
Cynthia Moore's Lucinda Stories are also deeply educational. Each story includes lighthearted fun with subtle lessons in kindness, liveliness, and empathy. Featuring talking animals, enchanted forests, and thrilling cultural experiences, the series opens up conversations about self-discovery and seeing the world through a lens of possibility.
