New Delhi: A national level award for the promotion of literature, 2nd edition of Suraj Parkash Marwah Sahitya Ratan Award has been announced for promising writers of the country during the 7th edition of Global Literary Festival Noida 2021 to be held on 14th to 16th September.
“A mind needs books as a sword needs whetstone if it is to keep its edge. Books are the treasured wealth of the World and the fit inheritance of generations and nations. It is very important to motivate the writers so that good literature keeps on adding to the sustainability of culture,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Arts while launching the poster of Suraj Parkash Marwah Sahitya Ratan Award.
The first edition of the Suraj Parkash Marwah Sahitya Ratan award held during September 2020 honored some of the prominent writers including Geeta Shree, Sudha Om Dhingra, Rashmi Sharma Jayshree Roy and Vivek Mishra, Lily Swarn, Rashmi Bhardwaj, Ashish Kandhvey and Rakesh Bihari.
A board from Asian Academy of Arts will decide the details of the award. The event is supported by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And entertainment Industry, International Film and Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, World Peace Development and Research Foundation and many national and international associations.
