The evaluation was made based on parameters such as revenue, business model, funding, impact the business creates, and the story behind the start of the business.

Saara was founded in the year 2019 as a software as a service platform that helps eCommerce brands reduce the detrimental impact of product returns on businesses as well as the environment. As the eCommerce sector has grown, so has its use of packaging and its negative impact on the environment. Data shows an item returned triggers emissions equivalent to burning 250 Kgs of coal and nearly 55% of retailers complain of high returns.

Garg built EcoReturns, one of Saara’s star products, with a vision to reduce the carbon footprint caused by returns while turning them into a profit center for businesses. The product has prevented more than 3000 returns from happening in the last 4 months, thus strengthening the ecosystem further.
