You see, you are a de-motivator, with either mindset. The motivation of the Office must come from the management.

Saturday morning. The office is silent, with everyone seated half asleep at their desks. A ringing telephone, and rings, and rings. Somebody finally addresses that. A few minutes later, on the other end the prospect chooses to meet with one of your rivals ... Morning Monday. Workers arrive early and the place is busy, several people are on their feet, waiting to arrive at the file cabinet, sharing sales statistics from the last weeks. A ringing phone. It is responded with excitement and a willingness to close a deal within seconds. Fifteen minutes later the prospect ordered ... Yeah, two separate offices. What one you would like to be in? Then stop reading if you said the first, NOW! No manager worth their salt should even be considering making such an office. Not even for being the opposite in answering my question. You see, you are a de-motivator, with either mindset. The motivation of the Office must come from the management. No matter what degree. From Managers Senior down. Some people are good managers but it will take some time for others to do so. Firstly, you need to have a constructive working attitude. If your team sees you can't get bothered, either with your job or with their actions, then you'll have the first form of office for sure. Second, you have to work hard at building a team. Mention the latter and you will find most of the workers are going to groan. Why? Why? Since the only team bonding they know of is either a cold and rainy weekend in the mountains, running initiative experiments and solving problems. That strikes in the centre of all but the most masochistic despair. Or instead, they equate the creation of the term team with the touchy-feely sort of indoor activity invented in the 80s. That makes everybody else feel bad except the office groper and the office bicycle! Both are both exclusive-that is, if you pick, it will preclude a significant proportion of the team from doing something good. And how can you get out of those stereotypes? There are still plenty of backward looking businesses offering the cold, muddy, and touchy-feel team building.
