Welcoming the Spirit of Country with Sacred Ceremonies

Giralang Guwal offers authentic Smoking Ceremony Sydney experiences and Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony packages for events, education, and cultural engagement.

Giralang Guwal is honoured to offer traditional Smoking Ceremony Sydney and Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony services led by respected Aboriginal Elders and Knowledge Holders. These powerful ceremonies serve as a respectful acknowledgment of Country and offer spiritual cleansing, healing, and a deep cultural connection for all present.

Our Smoking Ceremonies are performed using native Australian plants such as eucalyptus, tea tree, and wattle. These ceremonies are ideal for major public events, school openings, council gatherings, corporate functions, and private events where respect for Aboriginal culture is essential.

The Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony is more than a formal gesture—it is an invitation to stand in unity with the Traditional Custodians of the land. Elders deliver a Welcome to Country in their local language, followed by the smoke cleansing ritual that wards off bad spirits and ensures a harmonious space for all attendees.

"At Giralang Guwal, we are committed to creating respectful cultural spaces and educational experiences," said one of the founding Elders. "These ceremonies aren’t performances—they’re sacred, meaningful acts that connect people to the land and its stories."

In addition to ceremonies, Giralang Guwal also offers a range of Aboriginal cultural education services, including workshops, school programs, and guided experiences that celebrate the oldest continuing culture on Earth.

Bookings can be made online through Giralang Guwal, where full information on ceremony types, pricing, and cultural protocols is available.
