Why Choose Us

ISKCON India’s resident monks and volunteers distributed these meals to the very poor, daily-wage families, migrant workers, essential workers, and tribal communities. It was ISKCON Founder-Acharya Srila Prabhupada's vision, that no one within a ten-mile radius of any ISKCON center should go hungry.

Hare Krishna, Food for Life is the world’s largest vegetarian food distribution program serving millions of meals daily, with projects in over 60 countries.

In 1974, an elderly Indian Swami and founder of the Hare Krishna movement, Srila Prabhupada, shocked and saddened upon seeing a group of village children fighting with street dogs over scraps of food, told his disciples: “No one within ten miles of a temple should go hungry . . . I want you to immediately begin serving food.” In response to his plea, members of ISKCON and volunteers around the world started Food for Life Program. A kind-hearted person like you can understand the value of Anna-Daan Seva.

Food donation for the poor is a great way to help the community and the less fortunate by improvising the condition. Donate food to the needy or worthy people in order to help counter hunger and poverty and boost harmony and trust among the community.

Donation is good karma, but donating food to the needy is what makes the world beautiful and a better place for people to live. Feel the sense of calmness and peace in your body and a connection to GOD by donating food to the less fortunate, if each of the privileged ones does the same, nobody will sleep on an empty stomach.
