Healthy Lifestyle Programs For Kids
ALL STARS: It is a league sports and fitness program for football, basketball, and step and dance teams for youth. This program is offered to kids aged 6-18 years of age. It provides opportunities to improve physical activity, social interaction, and recognition among kids. Members can have fun, get active, and make healthy choices.
Passport to Manhood: This program is an effort to engage young boys (8-14 years) in discussions and activities that reinforce character, leadership, and positive behavior. Interactive activities are organized to focus on specific aspects of character and manhood. It also includes a service project where boys learn the importance of giving back to the community.
SMART Girls: The program helps girls aged from 8-18 years of age to develop healthy attitudes. It is developed to meet health, fitness, prevention/education, and self-esteem enhancement needs of girls.
SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resilience Training): It is a prevention and education program that addresses problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity. The youth engage in discussion and role-playing, practicing resilience and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills, and analyzing media and peer influence.
Triple Play: It is a comprehensive health and wellness program for children aged 6-18 years of age. The aim of the club is to improve the overall health of members by increasing daily physical activity, teaching them about good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships. The program promotes three components: mind (healthy habits), body (daily challenges), and soul (social recreation).
