June 16, 2021 – Chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel, and it refers to a physical or spiritual energy center in the human body. The 7 chakras are positioned on one's body from the top of one's head to the base of one's spine if you imagine yourself sitting cross-legged in a Lotus pose. Each chakra has its location and set of characteristics. They are connected with the physical body, but they are not anything you can touch; instead, you can feel and experience them. Look for the right chakra set to experience the difference.
The majority of individuals are unaware that their chakras can be both too closed and too open. Chakras that are excessively open or vulnerable are equally as unhealthy as chakras that are closed. Consider how the seven primary chakras relate to you as you read the explanations below.
A blocked chakra can produce physiological or mental problems, it's crucial to be aware of the health of each chakra before it becomes a more serious or chronic illness.
THE MULADHARA (Root Chakra) is a chakra located at the base of the spine.
This chakra, which is located at the base of the spine, is all about feeling grounded and linked to the universe.
Feeling grounded, having strong kidneys, and not having adrenal difficulties are all signs of a balanced root chakra.
Once you've determined that you have a weak or overactive chakra, use a combination of the following procedures to rebalance it:
Before retiring to bed, rub myrrh or cedarwood essential oils into your wrists or lower back.
Enjoy these root chakra meals cooked with cloves and marjoram.
Meditate on the Lam mantra.
• THE SVADHISHTHANA (SACRAL CHAKRA)
This chakra, which is located just below the belly button, is associated with sexuality, pleasure, and emotions.
Healthy reproductive organs and sex hormones are signs of a balanced sacral chakra. Feeling pleasant, sexual, and satisfied are other symptoms of sacral chakra health.
This chakra is said to be intimately linked to basic emotions, therefore the more in touch you are with this chakra, the more in touch you are with your emotions.
Techniques for aligning:
Apply essential oils of jasmine or Ylang first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
To clear the Sacral Chakra, focus on the following positions in your yoga practice: Standing Wide Forward Bend, Sitting Wide Forward Bend, Bound Angle Pose, and Supine Bound Angle Pose are all hip-opening exercises.
ALSO KNOWN AS THE NAVAL CHAKRA, THE MANIPURA OR SOLAR PLEXUS
This chakra is located above the navel and is associated with personal strength, fears, and anxiety.
A healthy digestive system and adrenal glands are signs of a balanced chakra.
Techniques for aligning:
Apply essential oils like rosemary, ginger, or lemon on your wrists.
Drink herbal tea with lemon and ginger (my personal favorite!) that is preferably decaffeinated.
In your yoga practice, focus on the following positions: heat-building postures like Sun Salutation and Warrior, backbends like Bow, twists like Half Twist, and abdominal strengthening.
THE VISHUDDHA CHAKRA (THROAT CHAKRA)
This chakra governs communication and is located in the throat.
When you think about this chakra, think about persons in your life that may not be able to communicate what they are thinking or feeling. Even if they know in their head what they would like to say, they have problems, for whatever reason, saying their thoughts out loud. This is an illustration of a closed vishuddha chakra. An unprotected or overly-open chakra may be present in someone who over-shares.
Healthy lungs and respiratory systems, as well as a stable thyroid hormone, are signs of a balanced chakra.
Techniques for aligning:
Apply eucalyptus essential oil before going to bed.
Incorporate the following postures into your yoga practice: Supported Shoulderstand, Camel, Bridge Pose, and Plow Pose are all shoulder openers that include fish, lion, and neck stretches.
THE AJNA, OR THIRD EYE CHAKRA
This chakra, which is located between the brows, is associated with intuition.
Healthy eyes, a clear head, and a keen intuition are all signs of a well-balanced Ajna chakra. Furthermore, this chakra is linked to the pineal gland, which produces melatonin. It's considered that balancing your Ajna chakra will help you have more restful, uninterrupted sleep. Make sure to look for the best Buddhist prayer bowl.
