Latino Events For US Business Owners In 2022

The Latino workforce is increasing with one Latino event standing out in 2022.

The number of Latinos workers contributing to the United States economy is growing at a steady rate. Employment projections for 2020 to 2030 show exponential growth with higher labor force participation rates. The number of Latino workers in the US labor force has grown from 10.7 million in 1990 to over 29 million in 2020, the number is expected to rise to more than 35 million in the next eight years.

Latinos account for approximately seventy-eight percent of new workers, even though the US labor force growth rate has dropped over the past few decades. Non-Hispanic growth grew by only half a percent in the past ten years, where Latino workers' national labor growth rate reached 4.5%.

The gap between Latino and non-Latino workers is shrinking. The Latino proportion has increased from 8.5% to eighteen percent and it is expected that by 2030 this will account for one in every five workers. The Latino workforce tends to be younger than the non-Latino workforce with the prime-age working group being between twenty-five and fifty-four years of age. The median age of Hispanics in the workforce is thirty-eight, compared to forty-two in the entire US population.

There is also a higher number of Latinos working in the forestry, fishing, and farming sectors, along with cleaning and maintenance, construction, food preparation, and transportation. They make up more than ten percent of management positions, which is an increase of more than five percent.
