Have you decided who you’re voting for in the upcoming Sacramento County Supervisor District 5 election?
If you’ve been a local of the beautiful city of Sacramento for some time, then you should recognize at least one name on the ballot, and that’s Steve Ly. But just in case you’re new to the area or aren’t familiar with his work, allow us to reintroduce Steve Ly. Steve has been serving the citizens Elk Grove for years.
He was the honorable mayor of Elk Grove from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, he was a city council member of the Elk Grove City Council of District 4. During his tenure, he was a vocal advocate for youth education and empowerment. He also boosted the economy by creating jobs, constructing civic amenities, and improving infrastructure throughout the district. In addition to his public service, Steve serves as Director for multiple local community organizations, including the Asian Pacific School Board Members Association, Sacramento County Sheriffs Community Advisory Board, and the California State Advisory Council on Refugee Assistance and Services, to name but a few.
When he’s not serving the citizens of Elk Grove, he is a loving husband to his wife, Cua, and adored father to his two children. Most importantly, he lives in the area that he serves. It’s this long list of accomplishments, in addition to his degree in Sociology and Political Science, as well as calling Elk Grove home, that makes Steve Ly the ideal candidate for Sacramento County Supervisor District 5.
When you submit your vote, make sure it’s for Steve Ly.
