Entwisle has established his name in the technical writing and business communications industry with more than two decades of experience. Entwisle has previously worked with corporations, small businesses and government organisations. Currently, he is a director of a copywriting agency, Madrigal Communications, in NSW.
Considering his expertise in tender writing, we asked him about NSW etendering and he was kind enough to share his valuable insights.
‘Writing tenders can be an overwhelming and time-consuming process, especially if you are competing for the first time. Understandably, there is a lot to do. The best way to tackle tender writing is dividing the process into steps,’ says the expert.
Entwisle continues, ‘First start by carefully going through the buyer requirements. If you misunderstand or skip a question, you will end up creating an irrelevant proposal. I urge budding writers to create an outline before drafting a proposal. A draft ensures that your proposal follows a clear and logical structure.’
‘When writing tender proposals, get straight to the point and make it relevant and concise. Also, if the buyer has mentioned a template or word count, make sure your proposal adheres to these specifications,’ Entwisle says
‘Lastly, never leave submission to the last minute. It is always a good idea to set aside some time for unexpected delays. You do not want all your hard work to go to waste because of poor time management,’ and to conclude, Entwisle states, ‘hire an expert.’
