[United Kingdom, 4 November 2021] -- In the United Kingdom, one in three individuals have a mental health condition and 50% of days off are due to workers’ mental health challenges. Additionally, studies show that suicide is the leading cause of death in adults below the age of 50.
Mental Health and Life’s founder Richie Perera recognises the need to empower individuals to provide support to those dealing with mental health emergencies and make Mental Health First Aid more accessible to everyone who needs it.
MHFA learning courses teach participants the skills needed to understand, identify and respond to mental health crises. By equipping them with these skills, more people in need of help will receive support until they receive professional care.
Most of Mental Health and Life’s MHFA courses are conducted remotely, self-paced and designed to fit into any schedule.
What Can You Get from an MHFA Training?
The United Kingdom has numerous training centers where people can learn first aid for physical health crises. However, only a few organisations provide training on mental health first aid. This problem has led to the birth of Mental Health and Life.
Participants of Mental Health and Life’s MHFA courses will learn how to recognise and intervene in mental health emergencies. They are given the necessary tools to assist someone in need.
The courses are available to individuals from all walks of life and age groups. While the majority of lessons are done online, participants will also have the option to join in-person sessions.
