US-based NuFlow a well-established pipeline repair company has revolutionized the market by introducing structural pipe liners for indoor use, making them industry leaders in indoor infrastructure rehabilitation.
Epoxy coated lining repairs were implemented by NuFlow when working for the US Navy as a contractor aboard carrier vessels. Due to the unprecedented successes, the innovations were applied on the mainland, in underground installations and high-rise buildings. In 1988 this innovation was used to repair pipelines that supplied clients with a questionable quality water supply and solved issues immediately and successfully.
According to Tom Bowman, the President of NuFlow, βIn the early 1970s, cured in place pipe technology was in use in England, for exclusive use for the municipal lines which used 4 to 18-inch pipes. In the 90s, new technology improvised the CIPP market, and being at the technological forefront, NuFlowdeveloped their pull in-place method, with the focus being on small diameter drainpipes with multiple bends, from 2 to 12 inches in diameter.
NuFlow coined the phrase PIP (precision push or pull in place) pipelining method. This method uses already existing access points in a pipelining system to insert a flexible saturated liner to form an inner tube to increase water flow. It is easily inserted around bends, specifically for small diameter pipes, found inside homes and buildings. Owning the patents to many pull in place structural lining processes and methods has allowed them to license more than 400 companies spread internationally over six continents, busy with pipelining installations.
Firstly, blocked and corroded pipes are cleaned out, and in addition, inspected by the use of CCTV cameras. Then an epoxy-saturated liner is pushed or pulled into place via an existing access point. A bladder is inflated pushing the liner against the pipeline wall. When the resin cures, the bladder is deflated and removed. A seamless pipe inside the pipe remains, which is a strong structure.
NuFlow guarantees a successful outcome, a stronger pipeline with an increased flow rate, strengthened joints, sealed cracks and holes, and no leakage that would cause pollution to groundwater. The life of the piping system is extended as well, while little disruption was caused to the owners and property.
Trenchless sewer pipe repairs are an outstanding innovation. NuFlow plumbers repair and replace sewer lines without digging any trenches or uprooting gardens. The traditional way was more labour-intensive, and time-consuming. The countless benefits of trenchless line repair technology include time efficiency, cost-effectiveness, being less intrusive and being an environmentally friendly option.
About Us:
NuFlow, the US-based innovative industry leader for small diameter pipe restoration and lining, was granted an exclusive license in 2006 by APL to utilize all technologies and patent rights. This made NuFlow the only licensed pipe and rehabilitation company, manufacturing and installing multiple technologies for pressurized and non-pressurized systems.
The acquisition of APL in 2007 put them way ahead of the pack. Specializing in all pipe repairs, sewer pipe repair, lead pipe replacement, pipe reclining, and internal pipe coating, with minimum disruption, NuFlow is the company of choice, completing the job speedily with well-trained staff, at competitive prices.
