New York, NY Saturday March, 2022. (@Calle107music) Latin GRAMMY® winner Luisito Gómez presents his new music video for his New York based salsa group Luisito Gomez & Calle 107 for the original song "Tu Me Olvidaste", available on all digital platforms.

"There hasn't been a commercially successful salsa band from New York since the 1990s. The space for a new salsa group is open," says Luisito, who received the Latin GRAMMY® in 2015 for his work on the album "Tributo a Los Compadres: No Quiero Llanto" by salsa artist José Alberto El Canario.

In addition to working as a music producer for José Alberto El Canario, Luisito has also worked as a producer and arranger for Tito Nieves, Raulín Rosendo, The New York Band, Rey Reyes, Henry García and various independent artists.

The video for “Tu Me Olvidaste”, directed by Nephew Tunes, features Luisito and the members of Calle 107: Ordanis Castillo, Vladimir Melo Ortiz, and Tonju Gomez. “Tu Me Olvidaste is a New York style romantic salsa, with a touch of R&B.” Luisito Gomez added. The group has two prior releases; “Ya No Me Llamas” and “Te Extraño.” All three videos include scenes near 107 street in Manhattan, New York where Luisito grew up, hence the “Calle 107” in the name.

History
Luisito is an accredited musician, arranger, and record producer and from a very young age, he showed a great love and talent for music beginning his training as a pianist at the age of 5.

In 2003, he was the first recipient of the Celia Cruz Foundation scholarship and was presented the award by Johnny Pacheco and Jose Alberto El Cannario. At the age of 15, Luisito began playing in New York nightclubs such as Copacabana and Latin Quarters for renowned salsa artists such as Ismael Miranda, Andy Montanez, Gilberto Santa Rosa, La India, Oscar D' León, José Alberto El Canario, Luis Enrique, George Lamond, Jerry Rivera, among others.
