Aspects of clean make up keep the concept in vogue

In the recent decades, the concept, notion and popularity of natural makeup is growing at a very fast rate.

This is because people are becoming more aware and educated about skin-care, skin health, well-being, fitness, etc. Basically, we can conclude that people are caring about their skin as well as hair. This has led them to becoming careful about what they put on their skin, what products they use and their contents and the implications of those contents on the skin as well as the natural environment. This means that people are actually taking their time in knowing and understanding their products (makeup, skincare or hair); they are reading the labels, researching about the brans and learning about the contents as well. This multi-dimensional approach and enlightenment was required.

Owing to this, people are increasingly turning to natural-make. This is because the number of people informed about how harmful chemicals are in traditional skin-care as well as make-up products, is increasing exponentially. Hence, the are going natural and ‘clean’ in terms of the products they are using on their skin as makeup of skincare. For instance, when you buy a clean lipstick, the pigments aren’t artificial, but are fruit pigments. It is clean; it is non-toxic; it is green and environment-friendly, and more importantly, it is human-friendly. This type of product keeps in mind the impact it can have on the skin.

So what exactly is a true ‘clean beauty product’? How can we define it and how can we understand it, so that we make informed choices when it comes down to choosing the type of product we want to apply on our skin and hair? A beauty product is truly ‘clean’, only when the product solely relies on natural ingredients. This is the only pre-condition for a true clean product. There won’t be use of any synthetic product. If the product uses even one single synthetic product or chemical (even though it uses other natural products), it will still not be considered a natural product. It has to be completely free from chemical products. This basic definition should be taken into account while choosing a natural product. This is because due to the lack of regulations on advertisement many companies use a mix of chemical products along with some natural product and then claim that the product is clean.
