Helmet therapy is a therapy that is used to gently correct the shape of a babies' skull over time. The skull of a newborn baby is soft, and its plates are highly spaced. Then, as the baby grows, these plates grow, and they gradually harden and knit together.


When a baby sleeps in the same position, these soft plates may develop a kind of flat or flattened appearance. This condition is known as plagiocephaly and is NOT DANGEROUS for your baby or your baby's brain.
