It also makes students conscious of the problems confronting the Indian agriculture industry. The students obtain knowledge of the role of government in the progress of Indian agriculture. It also includes the Green Revolution and Food security.

The industry as a secondary sector: The students gain knowledge on the meaning and types of industry, It also elaborates on the harmful impact of industrialisation and measures taken to reduce the negative impact of the same.

Tertiary Sector: It incorporates diverse areas such as education, healthcare, banking, transportation, insurance, telecommunication, storage, warehousing etc and their role in the economic development of the country.
The fourth unit is the Main Problems of Indian Economy. It makes ICSE Economics Class 9 students conscious of the poverty, unemployment and also government schemes which have been proposed to overcome the same.

The last unit is on Major Reforms and Emerging Trends in the Indian Economy. The unit educates students on liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation.
