Hydraulic fluids are used in hydraulic applications where there is a need for a medium to transfer force under high pressure. The hydraulic fluid is used to seal off gaps between moving and stationary parts as well as to transfer energy from one component to another. Hydraulic fluids are designed to have a high degree of lubricity, to resist corrosion and wear, and to maintain a stable viscosity over a wide range of temperatures. The most common type of hydraulic fluid is based on mineral oil. This oil is derived from petroleum and is composed of a mixture of hydrocarbons. The hydrocarbons in mineral oil are classified as paraffinic, naphthenic, or aromatic.
ASV 3000/460 Synthetic Oils (PAO), LIQUI MOLY – 3298 Hydraulic Oil are some of the Hydraulic fluids.
ASV 3000/460 Synthetic Oils (PAO) - ASV 3000/460 oils are based on polyalphaolefin (PAO). PAO oils are characterized by low volatility, high thermal stability and a high resistance to oxidation. PAO oils have a high viscosity index, resulting in a lower change in viscosity with changes in temperature. ASV 3000/460 oils have low pour points and high flash points. ASV 3000/460 oils are high quality, full synthetic oils for use in turbocharged, naturally aspirated Gasoline and Diesel cars, trucks and SUVs. They are formulated for use in passenger cars and light trucks equipped with gasoline and diesel engines. ASV 3000/460 oils are recommended for use in vehicles that require the use of synthetic oils. They can be used in vehicles that require the use of synthetic oils, including turbocharged and supercharged engines.
LIQUI MOLY – 3298 Hydraulic Oil - This hydraulic oil additive is relatively easy to use because it’s compatible with all hydraulic oils, and it’s also compatible with gear oils, with the exception of those containing EP additives. The additive includes molybdenum, zinc, and aluminium, which work well together to improve hydraulic oil’s performance and to prevent oil leaks. Additionally, this additive creates a barrier against oil oxidation, which is important in maintaining optimal oil quality.
