About Designer Amy Leff!: I don't know if Goldsmith is my maiden name or if I just think making jewelry is incredibly enjoyable. Never mind the setting, jewelry is always an expression of my personality. It's more than a "job"; it's who I am. I find myself thinking about my jewelry designs even when I'm not working on them. In 2001, I developed an intense fascination with jewels. My new job and circle of acquaintances have given me a clean slate. After penning "Throwing Stars," poetry about risk and transformation, I hit the "reset" button. And so, on my dining table, Throwing Stars Jewelry was birthed.

Over time, a certain aesthetic has developed in my jewelry. Nothing I've ever designed has been perfect. The jewelry I make combines classic and modern styles. Since I gravitate toward contrast, you may expect to witness a wide variety of techniques, such as hammering, twisting, and stacking, all utilizing many metals.
