The demand for cosmetic surgery throughout the United Kingdom has risen significantly in the past year with 2022 experiencing a record high. The figures showed that procedures had increased by one hundred and two percent with demand higher than in pre-pandemic times.

This increase in demand is being experienced by The West London Clinic, where there is a significant rise in demand for cosmetic surgery in West London this year. This has increased by sixty-five percent compared to previous years. It is very popular with younger women that want to enhance their breast size and older women that are seeing shape and size differences in their breasts.”

Breast reductions were also high in demand this year, increasing by one hundred and twenty percent. Patients who were not happy with their heavy breasts are choosing to reduce the rise to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain. Tummy tuck demand grew by one hundred and thirty percent, improving the appearance of the belly and helping achieve a flat and firm stomach.

“Liposuction was also a high-in-demand procedure this year, with an increase of one hundred and thirty-four percent,” said Dr Arjuna Imbuldeniya. “This procedure targets stubborn fat deposits on the hips, abdomen, thighs, chin, and knees. We often offer this with another cosmetic surgery procedure.”

Fighting the signs of aging has also risen in demand with eyelid surgery rising by seventy percent. This removes droopy eyelids, often associated with age. At the same time, male cosmetic surgery also saw a significant rise in demand with male breast reduction increasing by a staggering one hundred and fifty-eight percent.
