USA: The American Academy of Lymphatic Wound Management (AALWM), offering lymphatic and wound management courses, is planning to introduce more courses in lymphedema care, including lymphedema therapist training.

Lymphedema is a serious condition caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system. This tissue swelling is caused by an accumulation of protein-rich fluid that otherwise gets drained through the body's lymphatic system.
