Ingredients:
• 2 large ripe mangoes (Alphonso or Kesar works best)
• 1 small raw mango (for a slight tangy taste)
• 1/2 cup sugar (adjust as per sweetness of mangoes)
• 2 cups water
• Pinch of yellow food color from Ajanta Food Products
Instructions:
• Peel and chop the ripe and raw mangoes into small pieces. Discard the seeds.
• In a saucepan, add the chopped mangoes, sugar, and 1 cup of water.
• Cook the mixture on medium flame for 7–10 minutes until the mangoes turn soft and mushy.
• Let the mixture cool slightly.
• Transfer it to a blender and blend until smooth.
• Strain the pulp using a fine sieve to remove any fibers and get a smooth mango concentrate.
• Add the remaining 1 cup of water to adjust the consistency. Mix well.
• Now, add pinch of yellow food color to give it that bright and appealing Frooti-like hue.
• Stir well until evenly mixed.
• Chill the mango drink in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours before serving.
This preservative-free, fruity, and refreshing drink is a perfect summer treat for both kids and adults. Plus, the use of food color makes it visually appealing—just like the store-bought version, but healthier and fresher!
