AUSTIN, Texas (April 4, 2020) –Have you ever wondered how to use an abacus and why students in Asia train on an abacus? Abacus Brain Gym, trains students to domath on a Japanese abacus called a soroban. The more students train, the more the brain becomes a supercomputer. Instructors teach students to visualize the abacus so they can mentally calculate at lightning fast speeds. This is a skill which can be used over a lifetime.
Now Abacus Brain Gym is announcing enrolled students will qualify to compete for an annual scholarship. The winner and top performers will earn a place online in Abacus Brain Gym’s “Hall of Fame” and have the option to go on and compete at theinternational competition.
80% of all future jobs will require math skills. The global connection among countries, economies, and people are here to stay. Math tests, domestic and international, show American students lack an understanding of basic math skills. Gaps begin in elementary classrooms when students misunderstand concepts. Abacus Brain Gym teaches a program proven to close learning gaps. Students who do not close learning gaps tend to take only the required minimum years of math instruction and opt out of core college preparatory courses like calculus and other advanced math.
In addition, ABG students appear to pursue more math opportunities like Math Counts, math clubs, and UIL Math competitions.
This website features videos of ABG students demonstrating mental calculation ability. View at http://www.abacusbraingym.com. There are many videos online profiling classrooms in India, Japan, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and others showing students calculating faster than a calculator using abacus math. Any studentcan. Give your child a chance!
