Eagle Christian Tours had its annual state Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD) safety inspection in December 2022. The results came in conclusive, Eagle’s 35 bus fleet was violation free.
In comparison to other charter bus companies, Eagle ranks among the top in safety scores due to its 10 consecutive years of violation-free inspections. Safety ratings have three categories: satisfactory, conditional, and unsatisfactory. As of February 15, 2023, the FMCSA has found 1,603 annual unsatisfactory ratings, 15,763 conditional ratings, and 43,461 satisfactory ratings. Eagle has reached a satisfactory rating every year that the company has held charter buses. The national average of charter bus companies operating with out-of-service vehicles is 22.05%, while Eagle has operated for 10 years with no out-of-service vehicles.
Eagle Christian Tours’ Office Manager, Elizabeth Roes, had this to say about their success with charter bus inspections, “Safety is our top priority, having no violations reflected in our charter bus inspections shows how much we care about the passengers we serve.”
Eagle’s Georgia MCCD perfect inspection was followed by a violation-free federal inspection that took place back in July. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) conducts annual inspections on the federal level. Both state and federal inspections are required for charter bus companies to comply with local and regional regulations.
