Insure plus EasyParcel –insurance coverage for the lost parcel

EasyParcel is all set to roll its new insurance coverage for lost parcels under the name of InsurePlus.
 
In the world of GPS tracking and advanced logistics, lost parcels might be a rare scenario. But when things go awry, customers often find them in disarray. Working on this particular problem, EasyParcel, an online parcel booking platform, is offering premium insurance coverage.
The insurance coverage comes into the act to secure the domestic parcels from being lost. The company asks for a minimal fee of RM50 or parcel value, whichever is the lowest, to offer the insurance coverage. The coverage applies to various or single best courier services in Malaysia.
Using this extra coverage, you can now send your domestic parcels to any location without having to worry about loss or theft.
The timeline
From the day of booking, a time frame of 14 days is provided by the company to get the parcel delivered safely. When this time lapses, the parcel is considered lost. A further window of 15 days follows in which the insurance can be claimed. This is a submission period for the InsurancePlus policy. After 30 days from the time of booking, the submission period is closed and the user is not eligible to claim any type of insurance on the lost parcel.
Things to note
Keep in mind that in case of a lost parcel, the user needs to provide valid details such as parcel invoice, date of booking, pictures, etc for claim submission.
Also, the team will take 14 days from the date of the claim submission to reimburse the amount in your account.
Take note that the Insurance coverage is only applicable for domestic shipments booked on EasyParcel.
Process of claim submission
When you realize that the parcel is lost, you need to visit the dashboard of your EasyParcel Account.
From there on, chose the option ‘report’ against your parcel. Click on the ‘parcel lost’ option and click OK. In the next step, you need to fill up the valid details about your parcel and booking. You will also need to upload a photo and invoice of the parcel. This may be demanded from the best corier in Malaysia you had opted for before. After submitting the details, your request is officially added and your parcel report is generated. You can view this report in the last step of the process.
The claim submission is successful only if the parcel report is approved by the company.
