Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, is featuring new motion sensors and radio modules from Panasonic in the latest issue of Future Technology Magazine (FTM).
Panasonic's EKMB and EKMC series now include new low-profile Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensors. Featuring a new lens design, the low-profile PIR sensors are 10.9mm high, while regular EKMC and EKMB products are 14.4mm high, and they have a detection range of 5m.
EKMB and EKMC PIR motion sensors are an ideal solution for lighting controls, thermostats, HVAC units, smart home equipment, IoT devices, IP cameras, surveillance systems, and digital signage.
Panasonic's PAN4620 is a dual-mode radio module which enables simultaneous and independent connections over Bluetooth Low Energy and Thread or other 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networks.
The module incorporates all the required hardware elements, including a chip antenna, and the protocol software, providing a simple and quick way for OEMs to implement wireless connectivity in devices for applications such as smart homes and building automation.
Panasonic also provides an evaluation board for its combination 802.15.4 and Bluetooth radio module. The compact PAN4620 daughterboard provides access to all the module's pins. It also features an on-board LED, three user buttons and a Micro-USB connector.
Future Technology Magazine is the flagship publication of Future Electronics, and is geared toward engineers and buyers looking to keep up with the latest developments in the industry.
