1. When does registration for MBA (HHM) at SIHS starts?
Answer:The registration for MBA (HHM) at SIHS starts in the month of September. ( For exact details of date log on to the website)

2. What is the last date for registration?
Answer:The registration closes in the month of November. ( For exact details of date log on to the website)

3. What is the eligibility criteria to apply for MBA (HHM) programme?
Answer:Graduate of a Statutory University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level. Candidates passing degree examination by part-time / correspondence / external course / distance learning or in one sitting are not eligible.

4. Can a student studying in final year of graduation apply for the programme?
Answer:Yes, you can apply for the programme

5. A candidate scoring less than 50% in graduation can apply?
Answer:No, refer point no.3

6. Does the past academic record also considered in selection of a candidate?
Answer:Yes there is a component of academic profile during the selection process which has weightage given to past academic performances.

7. By registering for SNAP, am I automatically registered for SIHS?
Answer:SNAP is a common entrance examination for admission into various academic programmes of SIU;you have to separately register for SIHS

9. How is MBA (Hospital & Health care management) different from general MBA?
Answer:The two-year full time Master's degree in Hospital & Healthcare Management is a residential programme which focuses on equipping students with the knowledge and skills required for the management of healthcare organizations. Be it Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, IT, Insurance, Clinical research, Equipment, Manufacturing, Public healthcare establishment, Consultancies, NGOs, Wellness industry and others as may evolve. The programme aims at adopting a synergistic blend of academic knowledge and practical intricacies of the field to create professionals. Adept at identifying practical problems and using time tested and emerging managerial techniques to arrive at the most appropriate solution. Thus, along with core management subjects the programme focuses on healthcare related subjects in great detail.

10. Is there placement assistance?
Answer:Yes, SIHS has a dedicated placement & training cell aimed at enhancing employability and employment.

11. What facilities are provided?
Answer:The facilities available at SIHS include: Virtual Library Facility, Wi-Fi campus, a dedicated and on campus health care center, State of art Recreation & Wellness Centre, Hostel ,Food court ,Bank & ATM.

15. What options are available for furthering the academic interests?
Answer:You can enroll in integrated MBA (HHM) + PhD under SIU for the doctoral studies.

16. What is the programme structure?
Answer:The programme is divided into four semesters of six months each. After completion of Sem I &Sem II, students undergo 12 weeks summer internship. As part of the programme, a student also has to take up public sector training of 2 weeks. At the end, of the programme, is the On -Job Training. Students will be evaluated throughout the two years of the programme by periodic tests as well as assignments. Student’s evaluation is a continuous process.

17. What kind of questions are asked in PI-WAT?
Answer:Questions are asked on generic topics as well as to test your knowledge on present healthcare scenario in country.

18. Is Group Discussion part of selection process?
Answer:As per the new selection process parameters, group discussion is eliminated; instead a written ability test is included along with personal interaction.

19. What are topics for WAT?
Answer:Topics for WAT are not limited only to healthcare domain but may extend to other general field that may include current government policy decision, economics, general management etc.

20. How are the placements at SIHS?
Answer:The placements at SIHS are 100 percent.

21. How is WAT carried out?
Answer:The written ability test (WAT) has two sections with total duration of one hour. The first section has a topic with a word limit. The other section is on creative thinking and writing, which may include a clip, a picture etc. (* the format is subject to change as per the guidelines from SIU).

22. Are there questions asked from academic background of the candidate?
Answer:Yes during PI, such questions may be asked by the panelists.
