We discussed relevant topics with several experts and gained valuable insights. We sat down with Tim Entwisle from Madrigal Communications to learn more about his approach to tender writing.
Tim has decades of business communication and technical writing experience under his belt, from government agencies to large corporations, he has collaborated with organisations of all sizes. Currently, he is the director at Madrigal Communications, a specialist copywriting agency that offers expert skills in tender writing and proposal writing.
Many small and upcoming suppliers often are confused about the tendering process. Tim was kind enough to share his tender-writing expertise with us.
"Tenders are an excellent way to win new contracts for your business. If you are competing for a tender, I would suggest setting some time aside to come up with a plan of action. Ideally, you should start by going through the requirements and learning more about the buyer", he shares.
He continues, "Before you start drafting the proposal, it is a good idea to create an outline. Moreover, if you have any doubts, now is the time to clear them.
Stick to using simple words in an active tone. There is no need to complicate the document with unnecessary words.
He concludes, "If you are struggling to put together a tender proposal, do not hesitate to involve an expert. You can also sign up for courses that will provide you with the necessary guidance for government tenders in Sydney".
