Jaipur, India – Taking a pioneering step that reflects their unrelenting dedication to societal improvement with the help of education, Parmartham has launched a Free Coaching Centre for underprivileged children in Jaipur. As a part of their signature initiative ‘Saksham Bharat’, the centre seeks to narrow the opportunity-access divide for economically marginalised sections of society so that each child, no matter their background, gets good guidance and an opportunity for a better life.
Located at a community-accessible point within Jaipur, the new coaching centre provides free, systematic academic guidance to the economically weaker section. Aiming at students from classes 6 to 12 in schools, the initiative is meant to supplement formal education with a focus on academic success, skill development, and personality growth.
The launch ceremony, hosted at the newly opened centre, was widely embraced by the community, with representatives from local authorities, educators, parents, and most critically, the children themselves being present there. The centre was launched by Parmartham’s founding members with a guest presence from key educationists and social workers who expressed appreciation for the proactive initiative of the NGO to address India’s education disparity.
A Vision Embedded with Empowerment
Its establishment is not a philanthropic act but a long-term commitment to creating a skilled and more inclusive India of the future. Parmartham's mission, as stated by their leaders at the launch, is to "nourish young minds with the correct support, direction, and inputs so that they become self-sufficient individuals who make a positive contribution to society."
The coaching centre offers students:
Subject-specific coaching with trained teachers
Individual mentoring and doubt-clearing sessions
Digital support for learning and study materials
Workshops on soft skills, career counselling, and mental wellness
Regular monitoring to track progress
By providing such services for free, Parmartham is overcoming financial and systemic hurdles that hinder children from reaching their full potential academically.
Saksham Bharat - Empowering a Capable India
The program is a part of Parmartham’s overall 'Saksham Bharat' (Capable India) initiative, launched with the mission of improving the basic pillars of India—education, healthcare, and livelihoods. The program has seen several other successful schemes implemented under it, ranging from health camps, awareness drives, and skill workshops, to many other interventions that have made a difference on the ground. The coaching centre is an extension of their mission to foster holistic growth and empower a generation that is not only educated but truly so.
Closing Critical Gaps in Education
India’s large but still failing education system has left millions of children behind because of issues of poverty, no exposure to good tutors, and poor facilities. A recent survey indicates that students from low-income groups experience a disproportionately large dropout rate and poor performance on examinations because they lack complementary educational inputs. Parmartham’s coaching centre attempts to step in at that turning point.
By offering steady academic support and guidance, the centre will be able to keep students in school and engaged with their goal of continuing their education or acquiring vocational skills. The pedagogy and curriculum have been designed to meet the needs of students who fall behind because they receive inadequate classroom learning or don't have any resources at home.
Enabling with Technology and Inclusion
In consideration of the need for the students to be made adept at using technology in their lives, the coaching centre incorporates technology-based modules of study as well. The students are provided with online material, e-books, e-learning tools, and recorded classes to supplement classroom pedagogy. Parmartham is also intending to conduct online classes and webinars with educators and industry professionals to expand students’ exposure by going beyond textbook knowledge.
Furthermore, the coaching centre encourages inclusive education. Parmartham provides special attention to children with disabilities as well as those with learning difficulties, and has trained volunteers and specially designed lesson plans for their development. The learning atmosphere is safe, conducive, and emotionally supportive for all the children.
Volunteer support and community participation
Perhaps the most uplifting element of this effort is the active involvement of the local population. Educators from the local area, retired professionals, students at the colleges, and social workers have volunteered their time and resources to help out. Local organisations and companies have also given their support to Parmartham with donations of study material, furniture, and technology equipment to support the centre’s functions.
More than a physical facility, the coaching centre is a nation-building,g people-centric educational initiative with a collective commitment towards building a nation. A transparent monitoring mechanism has been established at Parmartham regarding adherence to regular attendance of students, academic performance, and overall development to bring steady improvement and accountability.
Testimonials from the Community
Some parents at the launch event thanked Parmartham for bringing about this much-needed support network. A mother said, “My child is in the 9th standard and has always had a problem with mathematics and science. We could never even afford to take private tuitions for him. This coaching centre is a godsend for people like us.”
One of the students who is taking the program stated, "The instructors here clearly explain things for me. Now that I feel more confident, I want to be an engineer someday."
Teachers at the centre are no less motivated. A retired principal who is one of the volunteers said, “This is the only way that lives are changed for good. It makes me proud to be a part of an effort that is aimed at strengthening the grassroots.”
Long-Term Impact and Future Plans
Parmartham considers this coaching centre as a pilot model that could be scaled up to be implemented across other cities and rural regions within the next few years. They intend to undertake frequent evaluation of their impacts and release transparent reports to encourage additional donors, sponsors, and collaborators.
In the subsequent stage, Parmartham plans to:
Increase the centre's enrollment capabilities using additional resources.
Implement vocational training programs and computer literacy courses
Work with government schools to synchronise the curriculum and goals
Establish scholarship and talent identification programs for deserving students
Their mission is to establish a sustainable, scalable model that serves as a roadmap for educational enrichment throughout India.
