Mattox 'Lyr1c' Goodrich was born and raised in the Roseville, California area. His father was a singer-songwriter for a number of bands, including Emerald City, and he was somewhat of a local legend. He may be said to have grown up in a musical family.



Lyr1c began producing beats in seventh grade and moved on to songwriting in eighth grade. He launched his debut album in 2021 and has since amassed over 60k streams. He aims to ensure that everyone, no matter who they are, can compose music, and that people shouldn't worry how they are evaluated as long as they are doing what they love.



Lyr1c is here to stay, and he's just started to show the world what he's capable of. He has begun to carve out a separate route for his career based on his sound, which will impact the music of others in the near future.
