“The profound feeling of sheer freedom that comes with extreme sports, wind adventures, and adrenalin-loaded outdoor fun is one of the purest ways to touch the true spirit of the American dream,” says Casey Bishop-Yeakey in an almost excited yet sophisticated tone. Fueled by the pure passion for what it means to be an ideal American, Casey’s journey to and since the foundation of American Bonfire Co is an inspiration to everyone.
Casey considers herself an “adrenalin junkie.” She has always been into sports and other outdoor activities. “I have been working on my family ranch since the day I could walk,” says Casey avidly with a hint of pride. She grew up roping calves, branding cows, and chasing cattle.
As her love for the outdoors grew, Casey became increasingly interested in sports. She actively participates in extreme sports, including breakaway-roping, horseback riding on the family ranch, helicopter shooting, trap/skeet shooting, snowboarding, wakeboarding, backroads exploring with the windows down, traveling off the beaten path, and is always seeking the next adventure. “Anything that’s wild as hell, I love it!” she says, emphasizing the vastness of her interests.
When asked the inspiration behind American Bonfire Co., Casey said, “Every time, whether it was galloping through the hills, jumping a fence, chasing cows, running with cattle, playing tennis, any pair of sunglasses I wore would fall off my face.” Casey always felt the need to have fashionable and edgy shades that would stay on during her wild adventure. Having tried and failed to find a pair of sunglasses of such description, Casey decided to make her own.
“Necessity is the mother of invention,” Casey likes to say. American Bonfire Co. was born out of the necessity Casey felt. Founded in 2017, American Bonfire Co. makes riding shades for men and women who love extreme sports, adventure, freedom, cowboys, Yellowstone (Netflix), western fashion, and All American cowboy culture . These western-born sunglasses stay on whether you’re 4-wheeling down a dirt road, riding bucking broncos, or are lost in music dancing at a country concert.
American Bonfire sunglasses have been sponsored on Live in the vineyard, 2020, and are loved by some of the most popular country musicians such as Jason Aldean, Jewel, and others.
