Press Immediate release
UK- (April 01, 2021):
The war in Syria has created a huge stir in the world, partly because of the political turmoil, and partly due to the factor that it made an everlasting impression in the Syrian revolutionary history. The Syrian Revolution started March 2011 peacefully. The Assad Government used the Army and the Police to shoot and kill the peaceful refugees in the demonstration as if they have committed a crime. The people fought back and the war started. Now it has been 10 years since the revolution started the war never ended. 800.000 people got killed, and 6 Million fled their home. 480.000 people are in prison no school for children for 20 years now. Assad used chemical weapon against his own people.
2012 will be marked by mediation attempts to get out of this crisis, notably under the aegis of the UN. The intensification of repressions will also have already led to a growing banishment of Bashar Al-Assad by the international community, which then begins to take sanctions (recall of diplomats, reduction in imports, etc.) to denounce the Baath regime.
The diversity of demands and secular, Islamic, liberal, Arab nationalist or pro-Western ideologies, however, will have overcome an alliance of the Syrian opposition beyond the facade images. The Syrian National Council will nevertheless manage to acquire a certain international legitimacy, which will allow it in particular to obtain the financial and military support of countries like France or the United States.
There have been a lot of books and films written and made for offering a glimpse of the Syrian war. But still there is a lot more to be discovered. Ratip AL-Sulaimen has come up now with his book Syrian revolution. He is an expert in Syrian revolution as he has been researching for the same for a long time.
