The report further states, "Until the end of the pandemic - according to the current status until the end of March 2021 - pharmacies may hand in KN95 masks with such a confirmation for protection against corona infection”.. KN95 masks without a corresponding confirmation might not be handed in as personal protective equipment.
Consumers do not need to become suspicious if their masks come from China and bear the KN95 mark. However, the ABDA also emphasizes: "From the outside, it is not clear whether a KN95 mask corresponds qualitatively to an FFP2 mask or not".
