ISSA proudly proclaimed the formation of the Regulatory Affairs Committee (RAC). The move aims to strengthen its advocacy efforts as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in and expanding its resources for stakeholders.

ISSA Advocacy

ISSA is devoted to advocating for legislation that promotes a business-friendly environment so that members of all aspects of the supply chain, including contractors and distributors, can flourish. The organisation prioritises listening to its members' needs and issues to ensure it accurately represents them when developing its advocacy strategies.

Additionally, its government affairs team provides the cleaning industry with policies that make it successful and give its customers and the public a safer and cleaner environment. ISSA extensively communicates with federal, state, and local regulators and policymakers to ensure this goal is achieved.

RAC's Role in the Organisation

The RAC of ISSA and its members have an essential mission to advocate, educate, and advise on critical regulatory matters that impact the industry. To this end, the RAC will support the development of positions taken by ISSA on federal and state regulations relevant to chemical cleaners and voluntary ecolabel standards.

Furthermore, it recommends activities for protecting, assisting, and promoting both individual members of ISSA in addition to advancing the goals of all entities within this sector.

These initiatives include classifying issues, building positions, and navigating regulatory issues while responding with feedback when necessary.
